The Department is in constant effort to upgrade which is reflected in the five-year development plans. The development strategy of the Department is formed through the discussions that take place in the general assemblies and includes:
- The continuous upgrading of the content of courses and educational tools so that graduates of the Department compete equally with graduates of other relevant higher education institutions in Greece and abroad in terms of scientific background and skills.
- The reinforcement of the permanent Operational Programme of the Department.
- The enhancement of the production of research work and its promotion.
- The promotion of the new upgraded image of the Department and the produced Scientific work.
- Attract higher-level students.
- Attracting high-level academic staff.
- The support of older and younger graduates in the effort for lifelong education and acquisition of more or specialized knowledge.
- Strengthening contact with older graduates and the production process.
- Strengthening the social role of the Foundation.
- Closer connection to hospitals.
- Creation of a foreign language Program of Postgraduate and/or Undergraduate Studies.
